Electronic Stocking Fillers for Toddlers

As the years go by, stocking fillers for toddlers become more sophisticated, especially as electronic toys for this age group become more and more popular and the technology keeps on improving. Most electronic toys are geared towards older children but there are some that are designed specifically for the toddler age group – say from 12 - 18months, 2 to 3 year olds.
There are simple push button toys which light up in a range of colours or make funny noises – educational or otherwise. V-tech make whole ranges of simple electronic toys for baby age groups upwards.  Some of the simplest and most popular are Sing Along Microphone, pretend phones and play cameras. VTech Splash and Count Penguin is great fun at bathtime.
Another popular type of electronic toy that many kids may find in their stocking or present selection, is a talking toy.  There are some that are directly relevant to this younger toddler age group.  They say simple words or phrases that delight the younger audience.  Fans of the TV show ‘Something Special’ would probably love a talking huggable loveable Mr Tumble toy.  If you are not interested in electronic soft toys,  how about a traditional soft toy?   Usually, you cannot go wrong with one of those, although some, longer-haired versions indicate that these are not suitable for the under 3s. There are also many suitable toddler stocking fillers  that are small, simple cheap and have no need of any battery.  Notoriously, toddlers can also be more interested in the wrapping and packaging of a toy than the actual item itself!

Computers are everywhere.  There are many toy computers now for the baby and toddler age group. Parents increasingly are looking for educational toys for their youngest children.  Simple push button talking computer toys can be really engaging for toddlers with their flashing lights and simple clear sounds. Speech sounds, letters and pictures can be linked. Music can be downloaded, learning games can be played.  Leapfrog and Vtech both make these sort of bay and toddler toys.
